Hi!
I am trying to install a CD-Server using a Conner 2 GB HD and a Phillips CD2000 CDWRITER! I am using two Adaptec 1542 C (F and P).
My problem occurs when i try to write an imagefile to the cdwriter (using cdwrite from mkisofs 1.05). After writing a whole bunch of data the writer produces scsi-errors:
..... scsi0 channel 0 : resetting for second half of retries. SCSI bus is being reset for host 0. SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 6 lun 0 return code = 18000002 Current error sd08:02: sense key Medium Error scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:02, sector 751672 .....
I tested this with kernels from 1.3.70 to 1.3.79. I read that there are timeout problems in the SCSI-code. Is that the reason why, or is there anything else wrong?
Cheers Dirk Traenapp
