Every time I boot I see the message in the subject. Here is dmesg from just before and after that error:
hda: Maxtor 90680D4, ATA DISK drive hdb: non-IDE drive, CHS=784/255/63 hdc: QUANTUM FIREBALL EX6.4A, ATA DISK drive hdd: FX240S, ATAPI CDROM drive ide2: ports already in use, skipping probe ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14 ide1 at 0x170-0x177,0x376 on irq 15 hda: Maxtor 90680D4, 6485MB w/256kB Cache, CHS=826/255/63, (U)DMA hdb: INVALID GEOMETRY: 255 PHYSICAL HEADS? hdc: QUANTUM FIREBALL EX6.4A, 6149MB w/418kB Cache, CHS=13328/15/63, (U)DMA hdd: ATAPI 24X CDROM drive, 256kB Cache Uniform CDROM driver Revision: 2.51
Now, this did not occur until I put the Quantum in... It also goes away if I move the Quantum to hdb (note there are ONLY 3 droves, Maxtor, Quantum and Mitsumi CD). Now is this a kernel thing? Or a broke-ass BIOS?
