| |
I just upgraded my Linux system with a new PCI video card, to replace the one built into my motherboard (also PCI). Now, Linux (2.1.44-pre3) and in particular XFree 3.3 are seeing both video Adapter. Xfree86 especially is still using the old video Adapter.
Is there anyway via the kernel I can tell it to basically turn off/ignore the old video adapter. I've checked my BIOS & motherboard, and can't find anyway to do it there. It works fine in Win/Dos.
The first one is the new one - YES I added it to pci.h and pci.c, on the chance that would do it.
/proc/pci PCI devices found: Bus 0, device 19, function 0: VGA compatible controller: Sierra (Canopus) Sierra Screamin-3D (rev 3). Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 255. Master Capable. Latency=66. Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xfb000000. I/O at 0xfc00. Bus 0, device 8, function 0: VGA compatible controller: S3 Inc. Trio32/Trio64 (rev 83). Medium devsel. IRQ 255. Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf4000000.
Any help would be appreciated.
