I'm not sure it's really the same thing. The DMA controller also has a burst parameter, that is either 1 byte or 8 bytes, and ends up being different from this one.

We have no idea, we thought you might have one :)
It doesn't really makes sense to us, but it does have a significant impact on the throughput.
