If you did try to understand the reason why I did introduce the POSIX claim, you would know that if Linux did try to follow the POSIX rule, a side effect would be that removable devices need to have a stable mapping in the kernel

Please don't confuse the fact that you will _always_ be able to find ways to confuse a system with the fact that this needs to happen in all cases.
