Just like to thank Rik for this one. The patch is unbelievable ....and I have trouble with the readings bonnie gives me. (before kernel patch (2.4.0-test8-pre1 with Low latency patch) -------Sequential Output-------- ---Sequential Input-- --Random-- -Per Char- --Block--- -Rewrite-- -Per Char- --Block--- --Seeks--- Machine MB K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU /sec %CPU 1* 100 3248 71.0 15103 22.3 4813 11.7 4200 87.0 14395 20.0 410.9 8.5
(ran after patching with Rik's VM patch (2.4.0-test8-pre1 + Vm patch + low latency) -------Sequential Output-------- ---Sequential Input-- --Random-- -Per Char- --Block--- -Rewrite-- -Per Char- --Block--- --Seeks--- Machine MB K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU /sec %CPU 1* 100 426192.4 21314 36.2 6571 25.5 4233 87.4 84010 96.0 4888.8 99.0
The results are clear ....at least I think so. It's a winner.
