Subject[OOPS] Joystick drivers in test3-pre2
Hi,

I have found a reproduceable oops when doing the following:

modprobe analog
rmmod analog
insmod ns558

When I modprobe analog, it loads the gameport module as well as the analog
module. I compiled the kernel such that the "main" joystick stuff was
compiled in (i.e. I said "y" to CONFIG_JOYSTICK, but i said "m" to
CONFIG_INPUT_NS558 and CONFIG_INPUT_ANALOG). After the oops, lsmod said
that the ns558 module was "initializing" and the use count was 1.

I am including both oopses that I got, and then ran through ksymoops.

BTW, I am not subscribed to the list, so CC any replies to me.

ksymoops 2.3.4 on i586 2.4.0-test3. Options used
-V (default)
-k /proc/ksyms (default)
-l /proc/modules (default)
-o /lib/modules/2.4.0-test3/ (default)
-m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
