When I compile my 2.2.16 kernel as single proccessor, the nvidia kernel module works fine and quake3 works great, but when I compile the kernel as smp (I have a dual proccessor p2-300 computer), and recompile NVIDIA KERNEL, the modules load, but X dumps out saying it lost the connection to X server. Additionally, it creates this Oops in my system log (attachment)Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000c current->tss.cr3 = 1ce33000, %cr3 = 1ce33000 *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0000 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<e082334a>] EFLAGS: 00013203 eax: 00000000 ebx: 40704000 ecx: 00000000 edx: 00000101 esi: 08214794 edi: 40704000 ebp: dce35eec esp: dce35ef0 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process X (pid: 307, process nr: 63, stackpage=dce35000) Stack: e0823fc1 40704000 e0000000 00000000 dd9008a0 00000000 bffff954 dce35f8c c011e951 dd9c0240 40704000 dce35f8c e08241a0 dce35f80 00000001 dce35f34 dce344a4 dd6fcbc0 bffff948 c0044601 dd6fcbc0 dd6f0000 00000000 dd64f430 Call Trace: [<e0823fc1>] [<c011e951>] [<e08241a0>] [<c010ecb2>] [<c010ecc6>] [<c013226f>] [<c01092c0>] Code: 8b 40 0c 8d 04 90 83 38 00 74 35 8b 10 81 e2 00 f0 ff ff 89
