This is my first posting to the kernel mailing list. If I have missed anything out of importance, please let me know.
[1.] Production filestore system (Intel, smp) produces kernel panic
[2.] Filestore, dual 600MHz Pentium III. Output of lspci:
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 440GX - 82443GX Host bridge 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 440GX - 82443GX AGP bridge 00:07.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 ISA (rev 02) 00:07.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 IDE (rev 01) 00:07.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 USB (rev 01) 00:07.3 Bridge: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 ACPI (rev 02) 00:0d.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82557 [Ethernet Pro 100 (rev 08) 00:0e.0 SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AHA-2940U2/W / 7890 00:0f.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82557 [Ethernet Pro 100] (rev 08) 00:12.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 80960RP [i960 RP Microprocessor/Bridge] (rev 05) 00:12.1 SCSI storage controller: Intel Corporation 80960RP [i960RP Microprocessor] (rev 05) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage IIC AGP (rev 7a)
Connected to AMI Megaraid controller and 100Gb Raid system.
Being used as an NFS filestore serving SGIs and Linux boxes. Also has a Sony AIT SDX-500C AIT tape drive which is controlled by Sony-supplied kernel module (see [7.3]). Output of /proc/scsi/scsi is:
Attached devices: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: IBM Model: DNES-309170W Rev: SAH0 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 03 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00 Vendor: IBM Model: DNES-309170W Rev: SAH0 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 03 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 02 Lun: 00 Vendor: SONY Model: SDX-500C Rev: 0107 Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi1 Channel: 03 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: MegaRAID Model: LD0 RAID5 05006R Rev: GH8E Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Upon heavy use of RAID and/or tape drive (but not clear which), kernel panic occurs.

[5.] The Ooops was dumped to screen, so this is the copied version (output from ksymoops follows after this):

All I can think of is that it may be large amounts of tape activity.

ISR called reentrantly!
... which, if I've done my research correctly, is something from the megaraid driver and is known about...
Thanks for your time and patience.
