Here's a head scratcher.
I am getting some file system errors when large files (20MB) are moved or copied. The behavior almost appears to be random, since if I execute identical cp commands I get errors on different files. See the test below.
[mgibbas@air214 000312]$ pwd /ld2/avn/000312 [mgibbas@air214 000312]$ cp * /ld3/avn/000312 cp: gblav.T00Z.PGrbF39: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF75: Input/output error cp: gblav.T12Z.PGrbF21: Input/output error cp: gblav.T12Z.PGrbF39: Input/output error cp: gblav.T18Z.PGrbF00: Input/output error [mgibbas@air214 000312]$ cp * /ld3/avn/000312 cp: gblav.T00Z.PGrbF48: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF00: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF06: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF12: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF27: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF33: Input/output error cp: gblav.T06Z.PGrbF66: Input/output error cp: gblav.T12Z.PGrbF06: Input/output error cp: gblav.T12Z.PGrbF51: Input/output error cp: gblav.T12Z.PGrbF78: Input/output error cp: gblav.T18Z.PGrbF36: Input/output error cp: gblav.T18Z.PGrbF66: Input/output error [mgibbas@air214 000312]$
System Info: RedHat 6.0, 2.2.5-22smp kernel Dual PIII 500s, ASUS MoBo Disk 0 = Quantum Atlas IV 36 WLS Disk 1 = Quantum Atlas IV 36 WLS Disk 2 = Seagate ST150176LW
Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance..
