I don't have this problem, but I'm using modutils 2.3.15. I'll upgrade to <latest> and try that.
After you load this kernel, can you:
cd linux/drivers/usb insmod printer.o; insmod scanner.o insmod ov511.o; insmod dc2xx.o
without errors? I can.
