I've been using my ISDN-TA connected to serial port at 230K with SHSMOD patches. I'm considering bying Athlon system, but it seems that most of them have VIA VT82C686A southbridge which also handles serial ports. I suspect that you have to activate those serial ports for higher speeds in similar fashion as in other chipsets. I tried to ask datasheets with programming information from VIA but haven't heard anything from them. Does anyone have a idea how to get this information (other source) or has someone already succeeded using higher serial port speeds than 115K with VT82C686A.
