When I try to mount a cd in my HP CD-Writer+ 7200 using ide-scsi i get the following messages in my syslog with one disc:
Jan 14 00:08:57 svampskogen kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device sr(11,0) Jan 14 00:08:57 svampskogen kernel: cdrom: can't write to this disc Jan 14 00:09:00 svampskogen kernel: ide-scsi: The scsi wants to send us more data than expected - discarding data Jan 14 00:09:01 svampskogen last message repeated 83 times Jan 14 00:09:01 svampskogen kernel: Unable to identify CD-ROM format.
With another I get this:
Jan 14 00:16:21 svampskogen kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device ide1(22,0) Jan 14 00:16:21 svampskogen kernel: ide-scsi: hdc: unsupported command in request queue (0) Jan 14 00:16:21 svampskogen kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev 16:00 (hdc), sector 64 Jan 14 00:16:21 svampskogen kernel: isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=16:00, iso_blknum=16, block=32
The first disc is somewhat problematic, and it usually only works in the HP. But the second has always worked before, and works fine with my cdrom which I use ide-cdrom with.
