ON BOARD DSP is not good enough. Many winmodems have an on board DSP
and so in principle can be quite good hardware, perform well etc., but
they're not documented and don't behave like a UART.

It'd have to be EMULATES SERIAL PORT WITHOUT SPECIAL DRIVER.
