The kernel panic below happens when I access the serial devices. In this instance I tried to start the "faxgetty" program on my serial port, but I get panics when doing e.g. "echo atz >/dev/ttyS0" too.
My kernel is 2.0.36, and this is the serial setup:
# setserial -g /dev/ttyS0 /dev/ttyS1 /dev/ttyS0, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x03f8, IRQ: 4 /dev/ttyS1, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x02f8, IRQ: 3
The system is Debian 2.1 (slink).
What can I do?
Please CC me as I'm not subscribed to this list (I follow it via 'kernel traffic').
Regards, Pontus
