I got the below oops when loading the msp3400 module from bttv 0.6.4. It also happened with the bttv included with the kernel, but I didn't write that one down.(user space hung, kernel still responded to pings etc.) It is reproducible.
this is a dual pii 450, (overclocked to 504, but its been *very* stable for months now). 128 mb of ram. sb 128 soundcard (es1370) alsa driver loaded. Hauppage wintv (don't know the model number, it has an ir controller, no radio). Here is the lspci output:
