Just got my machine past 2.3.12 to 2.3.18, and noticed the following during boot/log:

Also had 10 messages on screen: Request_module[ide-probe]: Root fs not mounted
Question: Is ide6 a valid number, and if so, what about 3,4, and 5?
System is i486 and has no pci bus (none configured). All ide configured in (no modules).
