Subjectbug: 2.3.1[4/5] won't boot
I can't boot kernels 2.3.14 or 2.3.15 - it gets to the "Detected PIIX4 ACPI
at xxxx" line, and then goes into cyclical SCSI resets due to command
timeouts.

I've compiled with PIIX4 on and off, as well as tagged queueing on/off, and
there's no difference.

I'm using the aic7xxx driver. From my /proc/pci:

Bus 0, device 9, function 0:
SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AIC-7881U (rev 0).
Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 10. Master Capable.
Late
ncy=64. Min Gnt=8.Max Lat=8.
I/O at 0xe400 [0xe401].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xed000000 [0xed000000].
