I have reported such lockups recently with 2.2.7-ac4 and 2.2.9-ac1
but not with other 2.2.7 versions, and not with plain 2.2.9
(loops in truncate_inode_pages).

Adding the kernel debugger produces crashes and no more lockups.

I (and others) think it may be related to NFS.
