Hello,
today I got the following oops while kmod tried to insert the BusLogic module. This is with 2.3.5-ac1.
Options used: -V (default) -o /lib/modules/2.3.5-ac1 (specified) -k /proc/ksyms (default) -l /proc/modules (default) -m /boot/System.map-2.3.5-ac1 (specified) -c 1 (default) -a - same as ksymoops (default)
Warning in compare_ksyms_lsmod, module BusLogic is in lsmod but not in ksyms, probably no symbols exported Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000038 current->tss.cr3 = 053fe000, pr3 = 053fe000 *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0002 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<c8024116>] EFLAGS: 00010246 eax: 00000000 ebx: 00000000 ecx: 00000088 edx: 00000000 esi: 00003dd8 edi: c804661c ebp: ffffffea esp: c53dbe4c ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process insmod (pid: 757, process nr: 50, stackpage=c53db000) Stack: c804661c 00000100 c451bdd8 c803d1b3 c804661c 00003dd8 0000d800 00000100 c803f9bf c4518000 c804661c 00000000 c8033000 ffffffea 04846065 0484600c c011c285 c53da000 c5ff01c0 c545f1b4 00000001 00000001 00000100 c4518000 Call Trace: [<c804661c>] [<c803d1b3>] [<c804661c>] [<c803f9bf>] [<c804661c>] [<c8033000>] [<c011c285>] [<c8027032>] [<c804661c>] [<c804661c>] [<c8033000>] [<c011c246>] [<c8033000>] [<c8033000>] [<c8027a22>] [<c804661c>] [<c8033000>] [<c803f8d2>] [<c804661c>] [<c01152cb>] [<c8033000>] [<c8024000>] [<c8047478>] [<c802f000>] [<c8033048>] [<c0108874>] [<c8046df9>] [<c8033000>] Code: c7 43 38 00 00 00 00 66 c7 43 3c 00 00 66 c7 43 3e 00 00 c7 Copying default arch from ksymoops, bfd_arch=8 bfd_mach=0
