On a slightly related topic : what does this lm78 driver do that the lm_sensors modules don't do ? ( http://www.netroedge.com/~lm78 ). This project has drivers for quite a lot of sensor chips, both SMbus versions and ISA versions. I've been using it for quite some time now, and it's been rock stable on my hardware.
