Hello,
i want to compile the modules in the kernelsource 2.3.8 and get the following errormessage:
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.7/fs/fat' gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -fno-strength-reduce -DCPU=586 -DMODULE -c -o file.o file.cfile.c:60: `generic_readpage' undeclared here (not in a function) file.c:60: initializer element for `fat_file_inode_operations.bmap' is not constant file.c:62: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type file.c:63: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type file.c:110: `generic_readpage' undeclared here (not in a function) file.c:110: initializer element for `fat_file_inode_operations_1024.bmap' is not constant file.c:113: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type file.c:145: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type file.c:148: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type make[2]: *** [file.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.7/fs/fat' make[1]: *** [_modsubdir_fat] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.7/fs' make: *** [_mod_fs] Error 2
I had no problems with previous kernelversion 2.3.5. What is the problem ?
Thanks in advance
Greetings Frank
