SubjectKeyboard Lockup on Proliant
Date

Hi there,

Has anyone ever seen a situation where the keyboard does not give any
response after booting into Linux 2.0.36?

What do I mean by no response? Hitting the NumLock key toggles the
indicator, but only intermittently. Hitting the Caps Lock or Scroll Lock key
does not even light up the respective indicators. It normally takes an
actual power off of the machine before the keyboard is restored to _normal_

The machine responds to network requests.

The machine is a Proliant. I thought this could be caused by the aux port
detection, but this has been left out of the kernel. It's a PS/2 keyboard.

During the actual memory count process, the various indicators function
normally so I guess that rules out hardware failure as the cause..?
