SubjectRe: 2.2.4 and token ring
Oh, well sure. Now that somebody's asking, I can't reproduce it.

But here's some snippets from /var/log/messages from Tuesday:

Mar 23 16:17:26 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: ISA P&P Auto 16/4 Adapter found
Mar 23 16:17:26 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: using irq 10, PIOaddr a20, 8K shared
RAM.
Mar 23 16:17:26 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: Hardware address : 00:04:AC:B7:96:7E
Mar 23 16:17:26 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: Maximum MTU 16Mbps: 2008, 4Mbps: 2008

...

Mar 23 16:17:26 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: Initial interrupt : 16 Mbps, shared RAM
b
ase 000c8000.
Mar 23 16:17:26 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: Adapter initialized and opened.

...

Mar 23 16:37:01 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: tx request but no packet!
Mar 23 16:37:09 slc-sunny kernel: tr0: Arrg. Transmitter busy.
Mar 23 16:37:44 slc-sunny last message repeated 7 times
Mar 23 16:38:49 slc-sunny last message repeated 13 times
Mar 23 16:39:49 slc-sunny last message repeated 12 times

...

And this is pretty much it until I either reboot or down the adapter
interface.

But I recompiled last night and today I seem to be stable... huh.

Can you tell me a little about how your adapter is configured? The
tr0 messages from syslog would be fine for a start.
