Yes. I've never found out why the record side of the MediaGXm doesn't work. That doesn't seem to be quite as SB compatible as it should.

That suggests your mpu isnt at 0x330 - basically the kernel sat listening to it and reading from it but it never shut up.

There appears to be some kind of TSC or timer flaw in the MediaGX that was annoying Linux.
