Hello,
Just installed a SB PCI64 card with an es1370 chip as modules, and recording/mixing works OK, but i'm unable to play sound for some reason. a `cat file >/dev/dsp` just waits and waits (doesn't work correctly i read in the docs but i didn't expect such a thing) Same result with vplay and mpg123, and i noticed the interrupts keep hangin on zero while trying to play sound, with recording interrupts are generated. I tried also the es1371 module to load without succes (i'm pretty sure it is an 1370 chip)
Relevant info: * Kernel 2.2.2-ac3, (2.2.2 didn't compile, but i expect it would do the same since there is no es1370 code in the ac3 patch) * # gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/egcs-2.91.60/specs gcc version egcs-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1 release) * # lsmod Module Size Used by nfs 37912 1 (autoclean) lockd 30792 1 (autoclean) [nfs] sunrpc 52996 1 (autoclean) [nfs lockd] 3c59x 18856 1 (autoclean) dummy0 684 1 (autoclean) serial 35748 1 (autoclean) radio-aztech 2428 0 (autoclean) videodev 2400 1 (autoclean) [radio-aztech] unix 9844 9 (autoclean) es1370 20988 0 (autoclean) soundcore 2372 4 (autoclean) [es1370] ax25 36096 0 (autoclean) ipx 12476 0 (autoclean) * # cat /proc/interrupts CPU0 0: 7554552 XT-PIC timer 1: 4 XT-PIC keyboard 2: 0 XT-PIC cascade 4: 4 XT-PIC serial 8: 2 XT-PIC rtc 9: 478001 XT-PIC eth0 11: 239400 XT-PIC es1370 13: 1 XT-PIC fpu 14: 84828 XT-PIC ide0 NMI: 0 * # cat /proc/pci PCI devices found: Bus 0, device 0, function 0: Host bridge: Intel 82437 (rev 2). Ideas? Should i load additional modules, perhaps use some mudule options?
Thanks!
