I have responded to Joel directly by email, because I think going into
detail on the linux-kernel list risks creating a big off topic flamewar.
If I get a significant number of requests to actually post to linux-kernel
about this topic, I will do so. Otherwise, I think it would be best if
I just respond to queries about this by direct email.
