Yes, You can try my reworked sg driver for 2.2.x at http://www.netwinder.org/~dougg
The patch there is against 2.2.1 but will work fine against 2.2.2 since sg.h and sg.c are the only 2 files patched and they haven't changed since 2.1.118 .
Others have tried it and reported good results.
