| |
This may or may not be a kernel issue, however
Whenever I invoke zgv, I get on the console: sym53c810a-0: SCSI parity error detected: SCR1=132 DBC=50000000 SBCL=0
has anyone else seen this happen with the Symbios 53c810a chipset?
Im using kernel 2.2.13 SCSI appears on bootup as:
sym53c8xx: at PCI bus 0, device 18, function 0 sym53c8xx: setting PCI_COMMAND_PARITY...(fix-up) sym53c8xx: 53c810a detected sym53c810a-0: rev=0x23, base=0xffaeff00, io_port=0xec00, irq=10 sym53c810a-0: ID 7, Fast-10, Parity Checking sym53c810a-0: restart (scsi reset). scsi0 : sym53c8xx - version 1.3g scsi : 1 host. Vendor: IMPRIMIS Model: 94601-15 Rev: 4614 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 01 CCS Detected scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 5, lun 0 scsi : detected 1 SCSI disk total. sym53c810a-0-<5,*>: FAST-5 SCSI 4.0 MB/s (250 ns, offset 8) SCSI device sda: hdwr sector= 512 bytes. Sectors= 2031705 [992 MB] [1.0 GB]
the SCSI drive is a Seagate ST41200N that idenifies itself as an IMPRIMIS (due to the chip on the underside of the HDD) if its relivant?
System board is an Intel 82437VX Triton II based Pentium 166
Any ideas?
