Ditto here. With 2.3.23pre1:
Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: 08:06: rw=0, want=1869116193, limit=2104483 Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: 08:06: rw=0, want=151665510, limit=2104483 Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: 08:06: rw=0, want=1769172598, limit=2104483 Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: 08:06: rw=0, want=1684369000, limit=2104483 Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device Oct 25 11:14:58 lech kernel: 08:06: rw=0, want=1869116193, limit=2104483 [...] Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 582237 Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): empty_dir: bad directory (dir #145481) - no data block Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_rmdir: empty directory has nlink!=2 (0) Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 582244 Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 582579 Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 593580 Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_free_inode: bit already cleared for inode 145481 Oct 25 11:15:46 lech kernel: EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,6)): ext2_rmdir: empty directory has nlink!=2 (1)
This resulted in filesystem corruption, of course. 2.3.24pre4 seems (so far, of course) to be free of this problem; by this I mean that 2.3.23pre1 after having been running for the same time as 2.3.24pre4 has now most likely would have complained.
