Ok, I have compiled and installed the patch. So far, I have got a number of messages:
I will let you know if this changes.
Oct 11 10:07:21 share kernel: eth0: tx interrupt but no status Oct 11 10:08:57 share kernel: eth0: tx interrupt but no status Oct 11 10:08:58 share kernel: eth0: transmit aborted, too many collisions Oct 11 10:08:59 share kernel: eth0: transmit aborted, too many collisions Oct 11 10:12:53 share kernel: eth0: tx interrupt but no status
but no "Roger is wrong" message (I assume that these should be logged in bthe same file?). The computer has been on for 90 minutes.
