Also, bad things also happen when exported symbols are sometimes defined
and sometimes not. Modules wind up getting config-locked to specific
kernel versions, and it also confuses CONFIG_MODVERSIONS. I am having
this problem right now with CONFIG_SMP and CONFIG_MODVERSIONS.
