Hi, since I use the 2.2.0, I have the following problem setting up a pointopoint connection. Example: command: ifconfig eth0 172.16.0.1 pointopoint 172.16.0.2 result: SIOCSIFDSTADDR: Invalid argument command: ifconfig result: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:A0:24:51:52:03 inet addr:172.16.0.1 Bcast:172.16.255.255 Mask:255.255.0.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:4 collisions:0 by the way: ifconfig -V net-tools 1.49 ifconfig 1.37 (1998-12-05)
So how do I set up a pointopoint connection directly ???
cheers browny
