Hello!
I often got this message nowadays. I don't know exactly if it is a kernel-problem or not, but when I want to compile the following things: - freeamp - 2.2.0 kernel - gnome-libs, I got this message.
E.g:
make[2]: execvp: mkdir: Too many levels of symbolic links
