Today I compiled some kernels and tests these kernels on compiling kernel with make -j. Comfiguration: P166, 92M RAM, 428M swap Compiled kernel: 2.2.0-pre5
Compile time in some kernel: 2.0.35 (with QNX scheduler patch): 1032.34s user 119.88s system 82% cpu 23:12.85 total 2.1.131 (with arca-44 patch): 809.10s user 143.19s system 58% cpu 27:08.62 total 2.1.131 (wo arca-44 patch): 920.75s user 265.35s system 32% cpu 1:00:45.70 total 2.2.0-pre4: 924.82s user 92.20s system 89% cpu 18:53.22 total 2.2.0-pre4 with arca-10 patch: 1028.55s user 208.16s system 78% cpu 26:05.64 total 2.2.0-pre4 with arca-7 patch: 863.80s user 180.18s system 74% cpu 23:13.86 total 2.2.0-pre4 with arca-8 patch: 1026.45s user 200.53s system 77% cpu 26:24.42 total 2.2.0-pre5: 855.83s user 112.39s system 88% cpu 18:17.14 total 2.2.0-pre5 with adreas' first patch to pre5: 854.04s user 107.20s system 90% cpu 17:46.23 total 2.2.1-pre6: 865.68s user 139.36s system 90% cpu 18:25.27 total
