SubjectRe: Sporadious hang on 2.0.3x
As 2.0.29 is thought of as the most 'stable' kernel and in light of the
recent discussions (hangs with no logging under heavy net trafficetc), I
have put a patch on ftp.uk.linux.org.

This is to be patched against clean 2.0.29.

It is the 2.0.30 patch WITHOUT the changes to the ip networking code.
So essentially you will be running a 30 kernel with 29 networking.

I've been using it on my 2 machines and they haven't fallen over since I
installed it (~7.5 hrs).

I would be interested in seeing if it falls over on the machines which
are having these hanging problems......

the url is
ftp.uk.linux.org/pub/linux/incoming/patch-2.0.30-nonetchange.gz
