I had a similar problem on my laptop for a while before I realized that it had a built in microphone, which the linux default mixer levels set to max volume. Hence I heard myself typing, fingers moving on the touchpad, and even a weird clicking similar to what you describe. Try setting all the mixer levels to zero using xmixer and see if the problem goes away. If it does, I can email you a short program ( < 10 lines!) you can run on startup to zero out the affected channel. --Scott @ @ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-oOO-(_)-OOo-=-=-=-=-= C.
