SubjectCorrection on telnet hangs
It appears that the error increasing error counts that I
had reported for the eth0 interface were erroneously. It looks like
the format of /proc/net/dev changed at some point, and I need to
switch to a version of ifconfig that reads the new format correctly.
The rest of the stuff that I reported is still accurate, to the best
of my knowledge.
