Hello. I have strange trouble with my floppy drive. Namely, in /etc/fstab I have: /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy ext2 user, noauto 0 0 and when I'm mounting it following happens:
<insert first floppy> mount /mnt/floppy ls /mnt/floppy <listed contens of THIS floppy> umount /mnt/floppy <insert second floppy> mount /mnt/floppy ls /mnt/floppy <listed contens of FIRST floppy, not second> i can edit files on second floppy(files really on first one), and nothing bad in logs :( I'm using kernel 2.0.33, mount-2.51. The same with mtools 3.8, but when I'm booting to Win95 on the same computer - nothing wrong, everything fine. I've sent message about it to linux-admin, and they've told - it's hardware problem, but it's not :(. What goes wrong? Looks like kernel problem with cashing, or smth like this.
I'm not on the list - please reply directly to me. TIA.
