I am using a RH5.0 linux with 2.1.89 kernel and there seems to be a problem with swaps.
Indeed I use two swap files /swap/swap[12] which are "mounted" twice at boot time. (two calls of swapon -a).
Normally, the second "mount" should lead to a device busy message but that is not the case. My two swaps are mounted twice leading to :
# /sbin/swapon -s Filename Type Size Used Priority
/swap/swap1 file 130044 0 -5 /swap/swap1 file 130044 0 -6 /swap/swap2 file 130044 0 -7 /swap/swap2 file 130044 0 -4
I suppose this is dangerous ! Is this a known bug of the kernel ?
