Subjectkmod or autofs strangeness?
Hi...

I have had following problem since upgrading 2.1.84 -> 2.1.90:

I run autofs on startup on three mountpoints: /hd, /fd and /cd. Previously
this was ok, but now when booting this happens (taken from syslog):

Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[171]: starting automounter version 0.3.14, pat
h = /cd, maptype = file, mapname = /etc/auto.cd
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[171]: Map argc = 1
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[171]: Map argv[0] = /etc/auto.cd
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[198]: starting automounter version 0.3.14, pat
h = /fd, maptype = file, mapname = /etc/auto.fd
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[198]: Map argc = 1
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[198]: Map argv[0] = /etc/auto.fd
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[171]: >> mount: fs type autofs not supported b
y kernel
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[171]: /cd: mount failed!
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[198]: using kernel protocol version 3
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[208]: starting automounter version 0.3.14, pat
h = /hd, maptype = file, mapname = /etc/auto.a
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[208]: Map argc = 1
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[208]: Map argv[0] = /etc/auto.a
Mar 21 18:21:14 narayan automount[208]: using kernel protocol version 3

Note that the second two processes starts up successfully while the first
dies with the "no kernel support" message. Sometimes all succeed,
sometimes all fail. After bootup i can stop/start the autofs any amount I
like without an error.

My system is a Debian GNU/Linux 2.0 i586mmx 166mhz 430tx. The kernel is
(now) compiled with egcs-2.90.27 -march=pentium but I had same problem on
2.1.90 compiled with older gcc 2.7.2.3. Other info and .config on request.

Clues?
