Subjecta question

This may not be the right place to ask this, but I all of you would
probably know the best. Does the kernel support jaz drives, and what
version (patch level) was the first stable support for it? If I don't
have to use 2.1.xx I'd rather not, but if that's the only way it will be
supported, then so be it.
Thanx in advance, and could you just email me privately with the answer if
anyone has one.
