I have an SMP system (ALR dual Pentium 133 with 128MB) that has been experiencing ramdom lockups with 2.0.33 compiled with SMP.
So I decided to try the latest. 2.1.89, 2.1.90 pre 1, 2.1.90 pre 2 all experience the same problem.
They hang when scanning the first scsi bus for hosts. I have two 2940 UW controllers on this system, and one 2940 (for old devices).
The drives are identied by the bios on bootup.
Ideas?
I can provide .config file from kernel if needed, just wondering right now if anyone else has been having problem.
Controllers work fine with 2.0.33.
