The problem is that you can only record from /dev/dsp once, because it doesn't get released, I mean when you try to play sound on it it complains about device is busy. It doesn't happen with 2.1.129 (the last version I checked before 2.1.131-ac4). I have an AWE32 non-pnp, and compile the kernel with SMP (because I have an SMP board :-D, if you need more info ask me for it, I don't like big configs attachments.
Keep the good work maybe we have a 2.2 before the new millenium! XD
