Perhaps this has been answered, but a rather extensive web and news search seems to not yield a lot of info.
What is the status of ntfs support, especially under dec alpha linux? Recent tries with dev kernels (2.1.12x and up to current) seem to be based on code that does not work well (read only) on a mounted ntfs partition. Some directories show up as 0 length files with a type of "?", plus generate errors.\
The most recent web page dedicated to ntfs under linux indicates code dating from mid 97. Is there anything I am missing that may be more recent? There must be a fair number of users with alphas who dual boot linux and nt, who want to mount ntfs partions under linux. Any suggestions, ideas, or leads?
