Subjectmake menuconfig and ncurses
Date

Well. First I'd like to say AAAAAAAARGH! Next I'd like to state that
I cannot figure out WHAT could've caused the following to happen:

There seems to be a problem with the lxdialog companion utility which is
built prior to running Menuconfig. Usually this is an indicator that you
have upgraded/downgraded your ncurses libraries and did not remove the
old ncurses header file(s) in /usr/include or /usr/include/ncurses.

It is VERY important that you have only one set of ncurses header files
and that those files are properly version matched to the ncurses libraries
installed on your machine.

You may also need to rebuild lxdialog. This can be done by moving to
the /usr/src/linux/scripts/lxdialog directory and issuing the
"make clean all" command.

If you have verified that your ncurses install is correct, you may email
the maintainer <mec@shout.net> or post a message to
<linux-kernel@vger.rutgers.edu> for additional assistance.

make: *** [menuconfig] Error 139

Now I did isntall libc 2.0.105 on my system and, thinking that somehow
screwed up my ncurses installation I uninstalled ncurses after getting
fresh 4.2 sources (with 5/12 patch) and installed the freshly
compiled stuff. Still the above. Now I am somewhat lost. I have
no idea what caused make menuconfig to break. It was working before.

As such... HELP. :)

System: linux 2.1.131ac6, libc 2.0.105, ncurses 4.2.981205 and the rest
is more or less a redhat 5.1 install.

I'd love to be able to compile my kernel :) I've tried 128, 129, 130, 131,
131ac2, ac3, ac5, ac6. They all wont do it.

:/

There was farting in the air that night,
It lit so bright,
