Hi there,
I am looking for OSS implementations of synchronous protocols, such as PPP, Frame Relay and X.25. I found some documentation about X.25 implementation, but the only part of it I found on the kernel was LAPB; Frame Relay, not a trace; PPP, it seems that the regular PPP provides both synchronous and asynchronous implementations, but I couldn't find a "formal" doc saying that.
I can see that Sangoma cards implement all of this in their firmware and the kernel driver just send commands to them, but I was aiming on something cheaper ("dumb" :), like an SDL card, or even the Comtrol Hostess SV-11, which does not have a firmware and, thus, depend on the full implementation of these protocols in the kernel.
Can someone help me? I would really appreciate it.
Regards, Ivan Passos
