SubjectInterrupted while interrupts are masked ?
Date

Whilst using an SMC Ultra 16 ethernet card (ISA) with 2.1.42, on a dual
P-166MMX box, I see messages such as this if I run "top" with a 0 second
delay between updates in an xterm over the network:

Jul 21 02:26:39 linux kernel: eth0: Interrupted while interrupts are masked! i
sr=0x1 imr=0x0.

The SMC driver has been patched (with the "synchronise_irq()" added), but
I was wondering if there are other problems and have they been fixed ?
Interestingly, when using a 3Com 3c900 PCI network card, that message
doesn't seem to appear (at all ?).

Is this a useful clue for anyone ?

Darren
