It has been over a month now that pre-patch-2.0.31-2.gz has been out, and it seems to have been tested fairly well, and found a bit lacking. For the most part, it works great. I am using it myself, but with about 5 additional patches stuck on. Any chance of getting a pre-patch-2.0.31-3.gz to try out sometime soon? This will also help so that we can just say we are running pre-patch-2.0.31-3 instead of stating that we are running pre-patch-2.0.31-2 plus the Ext2 Filesystem Immuteable Flag Fix, plus the Clear inode Race fix, plus several of the 20 different kinds of strange buffer cache patches. I think it would be a good thing to try out a pre-patch-2.0.31-3 with all the official latest and greatest, because frankly, I have no idea at this point what is currently going to go in, and what is being left out. A thread asking for this was started on 2 Jul by Dr. Werner Fink. Linus || David S. Miller, any chance publishing the latest chunk of changes? At least a development snapshot?
