Are there any really serious bugs in 2.0.30 uniprocessor? I recently built a new box (SMP) and it crashed in its first day of production, which I blamed on SMP. It's been running uniprocessor now for a while, and just crashed again (been about 2 weeks). Black screen of death...keyboard dead...nothing interesting logged except a block of nulls in /var/adm/paranoia.
The system is: Tyan Tomcat III (2 P150's running at 150) 4 32mb true parity 60ns simms Buslogic 948, IBM DALS 540mb, 2 IBM DORS 2gb Trident ISA VGA, SMC Ultra Elite16T
We went overboard on the RAM in this system, so it always has lots free (large buffers and cached)...so I don't think its any sort of RAM starvation thing, as is currently being talked about in other messages.
